Programs
Today, many children with challenges, from Attention Deficit Disorder to Spina Bifida, attend regular schools with non-challenged peers. As a result, children are certain to encounter someone who may seem “different.” In addition, children and teens are faced with difficult social issues such as divorce, child abuse, and substance abuse.
Children need to be guided toward healthy attitudes about differences and toward responsible decision making as young adults. The Kids on the Block curriculum is designed to guide children to make positive life decisions.
The Kids on the Block program incorporates easily into your school’s guidance curriculum and we comply with Language Arts and Performing/Visual Arts national standards.
The cost per child of a KOB program is $.75, but the value of a program to help a child understand a difficult situation is beyond any dollar value.
Please remember that South Central Kentucky Kids on the Block is a 501(c)3 organization and that all donations are tax deductible.
