Kids on the Block always needs volunteers to help out around the office or to help at fundraising events.
There are many opportunities for volunteers. We have four big fundraisers a year and you can visit our FUNDRAISERS page and see what you would like to help out with. If you would like to volunteer please e-mail us your information at staff@kykob.org and let us know how you want to help Kids on the Block.

Kids on the Block provides
a service to the community that is not available through any other
program. To continue to offer the highest quality product to our
children, we need your help! We have over 40 "Kids" under our care.
each puppet has an average life of 2-3 years. The average cost of
replacement per puppet is $800-$1,200. Children must be educated, therefore it is extremely important for the puppeteers to be trained properly. Puppeteers must become education specialists in the topics they present. These specialists are trained at the local, regional and national level. It is important that KOB stay current with issues that are affecting our children today. Our specialist must travel throughout Kentucky so that many children can benefit from KOB's educational programs. |
