My name is Amanda Guerra. I have been working at Kids on the Block as a puppeteer since June 1, 2011. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies and a minor in Child Studies.
I have always said that I want a job where I feel that I am making a difference. I feel that by working at Kids on the Block I am fulfilling that long time goal because I know I am making a difference in the lives of children all over the state of Kentucky. I would have to say that one of my favorite programs to perform is the Child Abuse Prevention programs. I like these programs because we teach children how to get help by telling a trusted adult if they are being abused.
One of the main reasons I enjoy working at Kids on the Block is that when I get up in the mornings I don’t dread having to go to work, I am actually excited about it because I love teaching children and making them smile. I also enjoy working with all of the staff at KOB!
